The first day had some really crap, some really good and a few good presentations. Full write-ups will come soon. All in all it came out average. The ex-Navy russian guy from Computer Associates talking about Espionage was by far the best.

Day 2 was much better. The most notable were the interesting legal issues in SA, lots of practical stuff. The next goodie was the guy from the University of Milan with a kief logging architecture. Barry flirted and he is keen to set something similar up at Rhodes.

Some general stuff:

• Barry spits coffee when made to laugh. He aims for chinos.
• Barry snores.
• Barry randomly honks the horn when driving.
• (he is shoulder surfing so..) Barry is a wonderful supervisor.

My presentation was this afternoon. It went quite well and I was very happy with it. I do owe Barry a case of beer for my many "um.."s . It is the gala dinner tonight then the last day tomorrow. We have been eating well and constantly. From the full breakfast in the morning to the breakfast, teat, lunch and teax2 in the afternoon, I can see myself expanding.

On a work note, I have been keeping note of each paper I have attended and will do a comprehensive write-up when I get back.
