It is the end of a week of the Ubuntu shirt month challenge and today is wash day. I discovered that the shirt can't be tumble dried and so have decided to take a day of rest to give it a wash. The plans for the coming week are pictures at:
- The Rhodes IT machine room next to the original hippo.ru.ac.za which was one of the first .za DNS servers and UUCP gateways among other things.
- The Rat & Parrot, our most famous pub.
- The Computer Science head of department, George Wells, if he will oblige.
- The Day Kaif, a busy cafeteria on campus. We hope to hand out some Ubuntu CDs there.
- My best friend Jason will be turning 25 on Friday and his MA Philosophy thesis is on the African communitarian principle of Ubuntu.
- We have a horrible piece of art on campus called 'The Life Cycle', yuk.
For the trip to the day kaif on Thursday we need money to burn CDs and
helpers to come talk about Ubuntu and OSS. If you would like to
contribute money (a CD is about R3.50) or time, please contact me.
Thanks to Dave, Russell, Ingrid, Guy and Ollie for the gallery, photos, camera and support(one, two, three).
