Carl has gone, this has brought me space and time to myself and made me sad. Came 1st in last nights debate and goreged myself on chocolate afterwards.
Well Carl has gone for his jaunt around the world. He is starting with Germany then his list extends from France and Italy to Holland and Finaland to Alaska and Hawaai not to mention Australia. Wow, I am very jealous and feeling the wanderlust. It sucks that I won't see him at all for the next year at least. This made me sad.
On the up side I have some breathing room, my lab desk is all for me now and I can come into my pod and be alone to concetrate for a bit. Phew, I missed this.
Yesterday was crazy, I didn't get a break for myself at all. HKE Ergonomics testing -> Goodbye Lunch with Carl -> Helping a firiend with chest pains all around campus then putting her to bed -> basketball -> Supper(in 10- mins) -> src meeting noone pitched for -> Shower -> Debate -> Chocolate party. The end of the day was a goodie tho, with Verashni and myself coming first as Closing Opposition (I was whipping) in a debate entitled 'This House believes affirmative action is outdated.' Then off to the Rotoract Chocolate party where we ate far too much chocolate which is never a bad thing.
On the up side Ox and I have Alex's 21st speech down, with the help of a few naughty limeryics.
So I dubbed this morning 'Dominic Time' and only got to work after lunch. Right off to the Dean of Research's office now.
