The company first off uses mixed infastructure to mitigate worm threats against one type of system. So a combinationof Linux, Novelle and Windows is used.
The wireless network has it's own subnet which is firewalled along with a subnet for laptops. Good idea.
The only problem is that a mixed infastructure also makes for a hard to manage one. Someone should do a Masters project to help fix that.
